Some People’s Trash, One State’s Treasure

For those of us that love to, or want to, travel on quests for the world’s most beautiful, exotic, and unique locations, here’s something really special. Fort Bragg California has a very unique “Glass Beach”. Formed over decades from the glass strewn about the area which was previously a dump. People would visit the beach area for its scenic value and then dispose of their trash there.

The government stepped in and stopped the place from being used as dump seeing that it couldn’t be good for the environment. After that nature took over. Breaking the glass bottles into shards and spending decades to smooth out the sharp edges. Garbage never looked so good.
