Meme: That’s That Sh*t He DO Like

I’m just gonna leave this little number here. When you’re done laughing read the rest, please.

Here at Brooklyn Brand we love memes. We also love hip-hop. What’s better than when the two are combined? It leads to comedic gold. Here we see Lil’ Reese and Chief Keef, two of Chicago’s newest spawns representers in their video “Traffic”, where you can catch the screenshot used for this clever piece of fine art at the 2:07 mark. I suppose that the meme is a play on how touchy-feely these guys and their crew can get whenever they’re around each other, regardless of how much they brag about their women, drugs, and guns. Compensation much? Anyways, take one last look at the glory that the internet gods have provided us with and go about your day laughing in your head. You’re welcome.

Video| Lupe Fiasco Breaks Down In Tears Over Chicago

Lupe Fiasco, the prolific and sometimes controversial rapper, sits down with Sway in this interview on MTV to discuss his old block. Sway shows Lupe footage from an old MTV: My Block segment where they followed a younger Lu from the skate park to the projects where he grew up. He is then seen breaking in down in tears, later explaining that it’s hard to see “ghosts” as many of the people he grew up with are now dead. He goes on to express how sad it is that many of the children seen in the video as well as elsewhere in Chicago probably won’t make it, expressing that with all of his success he feels helpless because he can’t do more.

Though I respect this, many people (including myself), are led to wonder what all Lupe has done for the community as to substantiate his hopelessness.

What are your thoughts?

Kanye West – Theraflu

Kanye and multiple DJ’s dropped (or had leaked) this song today, and Funkmaster Flex had the honor of annoyingly dropping bombs all over it.
Kanye, being Kanye, says a lot of outlandish things in this song, substantiating the fact that he creates what I have deemed #NotableQuotables such as:
“Tell PETA my mink is dragging on the floor”
“And the whole industry want to fuck your old chick

Only nigga I got respect for is Wiz
And I’ll admit, I had fell in love with Kim
Right around the time she had fell in love with him”

And the final #NotableQuotable and most brash line of the song:

“Lucky I ain’t have Jay drop in from the team
La Familia, Roc Nation”
