Usain Bolt remains undefeated as the champion of the 100-meter final, taking another gold medal in the London Olympic games and defending his 2008 Olympic title.

In a sold-out stadium with anticipation from the crowd, Bolt lived up to his name and remained the champion of this race. Bolt raced against some of the fastest men in the world, including his rival and friend Yohan Blake, who walked away with a silver medal in this same race.

Taking the title from Tyson Gay as the fastest man in the world in 2008, Bolt just covered 100 meters of ground in 9.63 seconds and in 41 strides, setting an Olympic record. He is the fastest man in the world, still.

Bolt and Blake’s victory came just in time for their fellow Jamaicans, who celebrate 50 years of independence tomorrow.
